Wanaka (population 2500) is situated on the shores of Lake Wanaka in the Southern Lakes region of the South Island. Edgewater Club is located adjacent to the beautiful Edgewater Resort, approximately 2.5 km drive or about 30 minutes walk to the town centre, either by way of the lakeshore, or via Ripponlea. Wanaka is the gateway to the beautiful Haast Pass.


The units....

Edgewater Club is a modern, architecturally designed complex consisting of one and two bedroom luxuriously appointed villas. The Villas themselves are spacious and furnished with quality furniture, imported drapes and beautiful suites. Each 2-bedroom unit has a well-equipped kitchen with a wide range of appliances, compact laundry, 2 bathrooms, spa bath, 2 toilets, and offer TV/Video, stereo, telephone line. Nine units sleep a maximum of 6, and four a maximum of 7. The 1-bedroom units are as above, but with 1 bathroom, 1 toilet and small size fridge with ice box. *Please note - Some of the one bedroom units have single beds instead of a Queen size bed.

Nearby facilities....

The region provides a feast of activities from leisurely pursuits to the more adventurous variety and the stunning mountain scenery has a distinct seasonal beauty.

In winter, visitors can ski at three nearby skifields (Treble Cone, Cardrona, Waiorau Nordic), with Coronet Peak and the Remarkable's within 2 hours by car, as well as heliskiing. Summer is just as popular with holiday makers with temperatures soaring into 80-90 (30 C), with the lake and rivers providing a wide variety of water sports, including trout fishing, jet boating and windsurfing. The region is renowned for its many popular walking tracks, historic sites of interest and trout fishing.


By Air: The nearest International Airport is Christchurch or fly to Queenstown and take Highway 6 to Wanaka.

By Car: Christchurch is a comfortable 5 hours drive through beautiful mountain scenery and under 4 hours drive through farming and orcharding districts from Dunedin.
