Tangalooma Island Resort is just off the coast of Brisbane, hidden from the rest of the world on a secluded palm fringed bay of Moreton Island. Tangalooma Island Resort is a tropical island paradise, surrounded by a combination of natural bushland and beautiful landscaping. Swim or bask in the clear bay, go snorkelling or paddle boats, bush walking, four wheel driving, or maybe a game of tennis.

Ferry from the mainland departs from Holt Street Wharf, Pinkenba. The scenic Ferry ride takes approximately 75 minutes



All units have kitchenettes, micro-convention oven, bar fridge, crockery & cutlery and television. BBQ's are available all over the island. Coin-operated laundry facilities available in each block.

Unit Information....
Tangalooma has many different styles of unit, it is the member's responsibility to ensure that the unit they book is suitable to their needs as guests cannot be swapped from one unit type to another.

SANDPIPER (the only lodge with two bedrooms)

Sandpiper - Pandanus Lodge sleeps 8 persons. Queen size bed in the main bedroom, Queen size bed and 1 single in the second bedroom and three singles in the lounge room. 2 Kitchenettes

Split-Sandpiper - Pandanus Lodge - 1 bedroom, sleeps 5 persons. Queen size bed in the main bedroom and 3 singles in the lounge room.

Split-Sandpiper - Pandanus Lodge - 1 bedroom, sleeps 3 persons. Queen size bed and 1 single bed all in the one room. Kitchenette.


Beachcomber - Beach Lodge - sleeps 2 adults & 2 children, Queen size bed and 2 singles in the one room. Has a convention microwave, hot plate and kitchenette

Beachcomber - Ocean Lodge/Palm Lodge/Dolphin Lodge - sleeps 2 adults & 2 children, Queen size bed and 2 singles in the one room. Has a convention microwave, hot plate and kitchenette


Driftwood - Ocean Lodge - sleeps 5 persons. Main bedroom has Queens size bed, the lounge has a trundle for 2 and a fold out for 1.

Driftwood - Palm Lodge - sleeps 6 persons. The main bedroom has a Queen size bed and 1 single. The lounge has two single couches and 1 fold out. Kitchenette.

Driftwood - Dolphin Lodge - sleeps 6 persons. Queen size bed, single bed, trundle for 2, and one fold out in the lounge room. Kitchenette

Driftwood - Beach Lodge - sleeps 7 persons. Queen size bed, trundle for 2 in the lounge room, 3 single beds in the bedroom. There is no dining table or kitchen sink - a community sink is available downstairs. Only outside furniture

By Car to Holt Street Wharf: From the Gold Coast head north to Brisbane, go across the Gateway Bridge, take the City/Eagle Farm Exit, then double back under the bridge along Curtin Avenue then into Holt Street. From Sunshine Coast along the Gateway Arterial Road take the City Exit, then straight along Cullen-Lavarack Avenue, right at the roundabout to Holt Street.

By Boat to the Island: Take a 75 minute scenic boat trip from the Holt Street Wharf, Pinkenba. The launch departs from Brisbane at 12:30pm Saturdays and departs Tangalooma at 2pm the following Saturday. Phone Tangalooma Reservation office (07) 3637 2000 prior to departure date to confirm your transfer booking via ferry. Please notify the Reservations office immediately if there are any changes in the number of people booked on the launch as you will be charged for anyone booked but not used.

Charges for the Ferry are: Adults approx $60 return and Children 3-14yrs approx. $30 return payable at the Wharf (prices subject to change) Price applicable to timeshare members only on scheduled timeshare departure times. Arrival or departure on a different ferry will have higher fees applicable.

Parking on the Mainland Secured parking is available at Holt Street Depot for $30 weekly

Taking Cars on the Barge. 4WD's can be taken on the Barge for a charge of $130 return (Price includes 2 Adults in vehicle) and must be booked direct with Moreton Venture on 07/39093333. Vehicles cannot be driven on the resort grounds. Vehicle Beach permits cost $31.85 per month. If you need to leave a caravan, trailer etc. in the car park there is a charge of $5 per day or $20 per week.

** Please be at Holt Street Wharf at least 30 minutes prior to departure time**

Maximum luggage transported free per Resort Unit is 80kg or 8 pieces or 15kg per person - whichever is greater. Excess luggage will be charged at the rate of 25cents per kg. Maximum weight per piece of luggage is 20kg. Due to the amount of luggage handled by resort staff and because of some serious injuries suffered in the past, any piece of luggage exceeding 20kg will not be loaded.

Alcohol not purchased at Resort outlets is not permitted to be carried on the launch or onto Resort property. resort Staff may refuse to transport luggage if inspection is refused.
